easy access to parks and local attractions for city strolls
I loved how central this place is for everything, with the stunning Dunnottar Castle just a short walk of around 2 km away and the lovely Dunnottar Woods only 500 meters away, making it so convenient to enjoy walks while exploring the area. it really set the perfect tone for my weekend getaway as a solo traveler, feeling cozy in my clean room and enjoying a lovely breakfast each morning, even though I felt the breakfast service could use a bit more staff during busy times.

Had a fantastic time with my friends. The views were incredible with the beach just outside, and we loved sitting by the bay window enjoying some wine while listening to the waves. The breakfast was top-notch too, the best we had in Scotland.
Check-in process felt a bit chaotic.

Had a fantastic time with my friends. The views were incredible, and the beach is just outside. We enjoyed walks around Dunnottar Castle and explored the nearby harbor. Don't forget to reserve a table for dinner! Breakfast was top-notch too.
One downside was the check-in process. we had to find someone in a busy bar to help us, which was a bit chaotic.

The hotel has a charming atmosphere, especially being situated so close to the seaside and various local attractions. Breakfast was quite good, and the staff contributed positively to the experience. the walls are a bit thin, so it’s best to be prepared for some noise from fellow guests. My room had a lovely view, but there were noticeable maintenance issues that could use some attention.

Great Dining Experience, Improvements Needed in Service
Had a delightful evening enjoying exquisite dishes, but the service lagged a bit. Staff could engage more enthusiastically. Pro tip, arrive early to avoid noise from the bar when it picks up. great food but be prepared for a casual dining atmosphere.

Unique stay with a view
Spent 2 nights here and it was interesting! The staff were great, super helpful. Our small double room had a nice view, even if it was of some roofs. Breakfast could've had more options, like toast—had to ask for it and it came on the same plate as my wife's omelette. Not a big deal, though!
